.....about Zambala Incense
Here you will find more information about Zambala incense, the many uses, the meanings of the symbols, deities, and all other matters that are related to incense, and a story or two might sneak in! This site will be upgraded frequently, so don't be surprised if you visit next week and it's all rearranged! There's a lot of information to share!
There are two distinct product lines in Zambala. One is tailored to Buddhist practitioners who are familiar with deities, have particular practices and devotional offerings. Labels like Kurukulle, Vajrakilaya, and Green Tara are familiar to those who have been exposed to these teachings in Tibetan Buddhism. The other line is for everyone. You will recognize labels such as 'Love', 'Energy', 'Health', 'Wealth' etc. and the respective meanings.
The only difference in these product lines is the labelling. The formulas and the 49 day prayer ceremony is the same for the sister products. For example, Kurukulle and Love incense are the same formula and prayer ceremony; Green Tara and Energy incense are the same formula and prayer ceremony. This carries on through all of the products. You have probably noticed already on the mother site these names are beside each other and bracketted depending on packaging.
Choosing which incense we use in our daily lives is important and personal. So what happens if you buy Kurukulle, don't know what that is, and use that incense. Well nothing bad will happen!...but as with any offering we make in our daily devotions, intentions are an important factor. If we light a stick of Kurukulle incense not knowing what Kurukulle is, make our offering, we'll still receive some merit out of that offering. Now if we know that Kurukulle is Love, well, all of our heart goes into our offering wishing everyone gets to have love in their life, we have a very different intention behind what we're doing. There are also a lot of prayers that have gone into this incense already, so by adding our intentions we've really made a positive impression on our environment!
Product Feature:
Tibetan Sage and Juniper
Zambala's latest product, Tibetan Sage and Tibetan Juniper is available in cone or bulk form. Tibetan Sage, or Ganden Khempa (Ganden Grass) is grown naturally around the sacred Ganden Monastery (30 km outside of Lhasa, Tibet) founded by the great master Lama Tsongkhapa.
It is believed that the Great Tsongkhapa, (1357-1419), wanted to eliminate the outbreak of chicken pox, so he cut and scattered his hair on the ground of the Ganden Monastery. From the hair grew a special type of grass and it was known as Ganden Grass.
It's medicinal properties are described by the physician to His Holiness Dalai Lama as being " an effective remedy for colds and flu and to purify polluted atmosphere".
These natural and organic plants from the "Roof of the World", are grown free from pollution at 15,000 ft. above sea level.
"It is very beneficial to burn incense from Ganden in Tibet and very beneficial for the person with SARS to smell and breathe in this incense deeply" Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Spiritual Director, FPMT
